Ready for a little Philopsophy, grammar and wierdness? Today I put a link from AI when I asked, what is the double negative paradigm? A paradigm, that’s two dimes, correct?
It follows the logic that if two things are negative, it must be a positve. Conversely, we can also apply the same to say that the truth is positive. It ain’t confusing, don’t you think? Two negative, made a postive? The Rolling Stones epitomize this with ” I can’t get no satisfaction”, to say there is no satisfaction…. AAARRRRGGGH what is real?
I was talking with a group recently and they were telling me that “We Don’t think people will follow through with an activity, therefore, we don’t even try to present the activity to them” ( Therefore, it’s not our fault that people don’t do this as we told them about the activity. That’s positive, correct?)
My thinking was, let’s try and positively present the information in a good way, and then the person can make their own decision. hhhhhmmmmm….. sounds like positive affirmation coaching.
So often those of us with ADHD and neurospiciness, don’t even try, because we know that we wil fail……..
Wow that sounds like my daily life, confirmation that not trying is OK???? What this ain’t really simple is it not”
Do we use this logic in our ADHD world? For instance, “Well I didn’t really try as I know that I can’t do (XYZ)?” Therefore I’m postive that thatcomplaceny is the correct path for me?
I guess what I’m trying to say is that the double negative paradigm ain’t a path to everything. Really all our decisions can be interpreted as postive or negative, no matter how we express the sentiment or thought.
Message, keep things simple and keep trying new ideas, new strategies. We can do it!
