Reflecting on the Blue Zones from a few weeks ago what healthy habits can we develop this week? For me, I started flossing, brushing and using a waterpik on my teeth every day about 10 years ago. I wonder if this has prevented CAD? Certainly my teeth cleanings are less arduous and the dentist is very complimentary. I wonder how many cavities I have prevented?
I wonder if adding a few vegetables would be helpful? This week I noticed a new junk food chips product bragging about no added dyes. I wonder if that is helpful?
What exercise could we make in our daily routine, lifestyle? For me I garden, which requires digging, moving plants and dirt, walking and lots of light to moderate exercise most days. I wonder if this is preventing osteoporosis or CAD? I wonder connecting to nature has been beneficial? Is this a form of meditation and stress reduction?
What are you currently doing that is on the Blue Zones list? What could you add to your daily habits from the Blue Zone list of habits?
Happy searching! (I know my reference isn’t APA formatted! I’m revolting against APA, it’s a healthy habit) Find this and other Blue Zone books on Amazon and other book resource sites.
