The Vampire mythos is front and center this month. Literally hundreds of horrow movies, Halloween movies, Mummies, Werewolves and a variety of Slasher movies abound on all channels. My favorite is the Vampire Genre. Do you wonder, like me, if these out of place characters align with our struggles as Neurospicy people? Like us, are vampires misunderstood characters, limited and guided by a life of the undead? Rage, violence, and over reaction are the script for some of us. While we don’t murder people, we as Neurospicy, ADDers, autism, PTSD and other challenges are rife with history of addictions, moving from job to job, and unstable relationships. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not calling our community evil, but I wonder if the world sees us as something to be feared, like a horror creature?
I know this post is not “evidence based”. But it is worth asking, how are the cultural influences, generational traumas, lack of empathy for anyone that is “neurospicy” similar to the genres of books, literature and movies highlighting vampires and other monsters?
Anyway, have fun with whatever your favorite October activites will be this year.
For me, What is the next Vampire movie?
