Looking for the Spiritual

The painting I’m sharing today is an oil painting that I completed in 2 hours several years ago. So where is the spiritual in this painting? Did God inspire me to paint? What does the Sunflower say in this painting?

So often in our search for neurospicy challenges we ask, “What are the solutions?” It must be a new calendar system. It must be a new medication. How can I use my cell phone alarms effectively? Maybe a counselor has all the answers.

One interesting thing about my painting is that even now, years later, I see new details in the shadows of the painting. The painting inspires me to consider new approaches and new solutions. Where is God in our lives? If we are atheists, doesn’t that take some faith too? Really, nothing is in control of the universe? That takes as much faith as the Pope believing that he is the direct communicator with God.

I guess my thinking this week is to look at things from all points of view, including God and spirituality. How can we embrace our beliefs and culture and even religion into our daily lives? What role does a spiritual community have in your life? Who are we in this vast universe of ideas, internet stories and a world beginning to be run by AI assistants?

Anyway, as usual I have more questions than answers. We each much struggle with where and who is our spiritual path.

By the Way, did you see the hidden goose in the painting?

Blessings?
